Matthew 5:8 says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." This verse is part of the Beatitudes, which are teachings from Jesus found in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5:1–12). In this particular verse, Jesus highlights the importance of inner purity and sincerity.

To be "pure in heart" means having a heart free from deceit, selfish motives, and sinful desires. It emphasizes integrity, humility, and a genuine devotion to God. The promise "for they shall see God" suggests that those with a pure heart will experience an intimate relationship with Him, both in their spiritual walk on Earth and ultimately in eternity.

It's a call to examine one's inner life and align it with God's will, fostering a life of holiness, love, and truth.
